The Truth About JLO Beauty

I might be late to the party, here it goes. So the word around the block is that Jenny had dropped some new skincare {see what I did there lol} Now it’s not new that a celebrity wants in on the lucrative beauty industry but her line made me want to know what’s in those products exactly.

She has managed to stay youthful for all these years she must have been doing southing right. Even though a lot of beauty gurus are not believing her beauty secret. People will still buy it even because its Jenny form the block.
What comes to mind when I say Olive oil?
Clogged pores. Ok am being negative Nancy, this skincare brand it is mainly focusing on Olive oil and luxury.

What Is Olive Oli In Skin Care?
It is an Emollient and Antioxidant which helps moisturizes dry skin, protects against premature ageing. It works with
oils like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and amino acids.

In the past JLO has talked about how Olive Oil has helped her to keep her skin looking youthful glowing. Olive oil is used a lot in the DIY skincare routines. I hate DIY you guys know that but anyway. Good old olive oil is used a lot in this range.
Olive oil is used a lot in skincare but not as a means to hydrate but as a slip agent in moisture and cleaning oils. If Olive oil is not refound it cold coles one’s pores. It’s better to mix this oil with other oils now use it on its own.

I would be going in on only three products in this range.

The Eye Cream

Luxury skincare brands always have eye creams. I checked out the ingredient list and I was not too pleased. The second ingredient from the list is Cyclopentasiloxane. It’s a common silicon ingredient that very much used in skincare. This eye creams its expensive for the common use of ingredients. There is a use of fragrance as well o which its disappointing.

Gel Cream Cleanser

The packing for the whole skincare line is very beautiful. If you love the whole experience of beautiful packing you will love this range. Aesthetics ten out of ten.

Ok. back to what’s inside

I have a thing about well-formulated cleaners. Looking at this list it looks like a good formula. The only this I picked up agin its the fragrance usage of which can be irritating to sensitive skin.

Looking at this ingredient list am really surprised to see that the use of olive oil is at a minimum. Olive oil its not even on the top 5 ingredients list.

Its a highly hydrating cream with a thicker consistency. The queen ingredients in this cream its glycerin and squalene.Which is very hydrating for the skin. What came as a surprise was the use of Korean skincare in a form of Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate. This ingredient is used in American skincare but in small dosages but is higher amounts. Used for its moisturizing agent and has antioxidant effects.Overall good product.

I have oily skin that deals with acne on occasion. This range’s not created for my skincare needs. I think most celebrities are very general when it comes to skin. While the market has different skincare issues that need to be addressed. This line is fairly new so she could develop other ranges that are more skincare concern specific.
Tell me what you think in the comments down below …would you buy it?
